Welcome to Mily’s Home Peru, a place where warmth and comfort await you in the picturesque district of Barranco. My friendly department is located in the heart of this charming neighbourhood, known for its rich history and vibrant cultural scene. Barranco was founded in 1874 as a beach town of Lima and is famous for its museums, colonial and republican residences, but also for its bohemian atmosphere that attracts artists and musicians from all over the world.
My house is located just 40 minutes from the historic centre of Lima, via the highway (Via Expresa), and 60 minutes from the airport, via the highway (Via Costa Verde). This neighbourhood is a quiet and inspiring retreat, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. A few steps from my flat are the bus and metro stop (Balta station) and the ‘Metro’ supermarket. Also nearby are emblematic places such as the Bridge of Sighs, the Barranco Municipal Park, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Barranco Malecon.
Enjoy spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean from the Malecon and stroll through the colourful streets full of street art. Barranco is the ideal place to enjoy nightlife, local cuisine and Lima’s rich cultural heritage. Just a two minute walk from my flat, the famous Barranco Market No. 2 awaits you, where you can find a variety of fresh produce, delicious food, clothing, groceries, appliances and much more.
